We pride ourselves in working under the radar: no overhead spent on publicity, no self-promotion. No internet site, no listing in the industry databases. Nonetheless, creative people, bankable actors, directors, and writers come to us with their pet projects. They know how to find us, and they like to work with us.

Studio Eight 's minimal overheads allow it the flexibility to take advantage of every production and financing opportunity. This boutique operation allows hands-on development of around nine feature films at one time. To facilitate international co-productions, Studio Eight continues to build on its long-established ties with Canada and the USA .

Studio Eight maintains close connections with production and finance companies in Europe as well. Industry Partners include Peace Arch Entertainment (Canada), The Royal Bank of Scotland, Scotts Atlantic, Gemini Films (Germany), Eagle Pictures (Italy), Fit Productions ( France ), Muse Entertainment ( Canada ), Phoenix Pictures (US), Bob Chartoff Productions ( USA ) and Twentieth Century Fox ( USA ).

As a production company, Studio Eight has earned an excellent reputation with the major European and American talent agencies as well as the government funding agencies in the U.K. , Isle of Man , Ireland , France , Italy and Canada . These agencies have contributed substantially to our recent British productions.

Studio Eight recently completed work on the John Boorman film shot in South Africa called IN MY COUNTRY , starring Samuel L. Jackson and Juliette Binoche. This became the largest-ever acquisition by Sony Pictures Classics.

We have also recently completed SHADOWS IN THE SUN starring Harvey Keitel, Joshua Jackson, Giancarlo Giannini and John Rhys-Davies, and are about to commence production on a thriller THE BOATHOUSE , followed by OCTOBER SQUALL, starring Halle Berry.

Studio Eight have just delivered the $18m French-language TREASURE ISLAND , shot in Thailand , Hungary and the UK . It is currently enjoying massive theatrical success in France .
